The Baseline executive team includes:
Amer Saleem leads Baseline's Product, Technology and Business Development teams. In focusing the company on cutting edge technology, Amer ensures Baseline brings a unique and innovative entertainment product vision to professional and syndication clients. Before joining Baseline, Amer was Project Lead at Warner Bros., guiding product and site development of Warner Bros. Motion Picture, Television and brand websites. Prior to WB, Amer was one of the original team members at Ticketmaster Online, where he started the Program Management team that helped make Ticketmaster.com one of the Internet's top 10 e-commerce sites. Amer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from the University of California, Riverside, with a Minor in Creative Writing.
Salvatore Capone came to Baseline after years of Entertainment Industry experience. In the past, Sal has worked at notable entertainment organizations such as Paradigm talent agency, The Walt Disney Studios, and Avenue Pictures, as well as stints on film and TV projects such as Small Soldiers, The Second Civil War, and the award-winning miniseries, Hiroshima. Having witnessed firsthand what it takes to develop, produce and release projects, Salvatore brings an industry insider perspective to his work at Baseline, which is the hallmark of Baseline’s approach to creating valuable products designed for the needs of Entertainment Industry professionals. After joining the company in the early 2000’s, he oversaw the Special Projects department and then transitioned to a content director, manager of the Companies and Representation research team. Salvatore continued his career by moving to Manager of Sales for the Studio System and Professional Products. He recently transitioned to the position of Vice President, Content and Sales, and is helping lead the company into its next phase.
Mark Ferchland joined Baseline in October 2008 taking over financial planning, budgeting, and corporate reporting. Mark came with a broad set of experiences having worked in both finance and accounting for various companies including The Walt Disney Internet Group, Chatsworth Products and Texas Instruments. As the finance manager, Mark is responsible for forecasting, budgeting, corporate reporting, SalesForce administration, and acting as liaison with our parent company. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education from Eugene Bible College.
A veteran of the entertainment industry, Lee Zahavi Jessup has worked with in every stage of film from development to post production with such companies as Tapestry Films, HBO Pictures, Trimark and Gemstone Entertainment prior to her arrival at Studio Systems, Inc. as the Director of Sales & Marketing. Following the company’s merger with Baseline, Lee headed up ScriptShark.com, Baseline’s professional screenwriter tool. In 2009, Lee turned her talents to over-seeing the ProSumer Product group for Baseline, which included ScriptShark.com, inHollywood.com, and InBaseline.com. In 2011, Lee was promoted to Senior Manager of Professional Products, leading the 2012 reimagining of Baseline’s flagship product, The Studio System. Lee resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
Ethan has been working with Baseline since 2006, first as an outside marketing and sales consultant, then as Product Manager for Screenline, and eventually promoted to Senior Product Manager for Syndication in 2011. Ethan is responsible for operational and customer service issues related to Baseline’s licensing partners, which include Warner Bros., Technicolor, Redbox, Microsoft, Yahoo!, and others. In the past, Ethan has served as a Head of Production for a Chicago-based ad agency, Creative Director for award-winning filmmaker Roland Joffé, and Marketing Director for several entertainment-related technology startups. Ethan is a graduate of Northwestern University, and earned his MBA in 2011 from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
Jennifer Ray joined the Studio System in 2001 as a content editor in the TV Department. After the Baseline merger, Jennifer transitioned to the Research Department where she worked on special projects for large clients until she became the Client Services department manager in 2006. As the Senior Manager for Client Services, Jennifer focuses on the communication strategy for all current clients of the Baseline suite of products. Prior to arriving at Baseline, Jennifer worked in network television at NBC and Kids’ WB! Jennifer holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Theater Arts from Virginia Tech; Broadcast Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master’s Degree in Communications Management from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California.
